Jekyll, Gertrude
(29 nov. 1843, Londres, Inglaterra–8 dic. 1932, Londres).

Arquitecta y paisajista británica. Se dedicó a la pintura hasta 1891, cuando se volcó al paisajismo. Colaboró con el paisajista William Robinson (n. 1838–m. 1935) en sus escritos acerca del jardín natural, y escribió sola varios libros exitosos, entre los que figuran Madera y jardín (1899) y Hogar y jardín (1900). Gustaba de la simplicidad y del desorden ordenado de los jardines campestres. Posteriormente trabajó junto a Edwin Lutyens, con quien desarrolló un estilo de jardines modernos e informales, marcado por el uso rítmico de color y forma.
